There’s a lot of talk about “microaggressions” of late. I came across this short NPR piece and thought you’d find it an interesting read.
What Is A Microaggression? And What To Do If You Experience One. : Life Kit : NPR (Links to an external site.) https://www.npr.org/2020/06/08/872371063/microaggressions-are-a-big-deal-how-to-talk-them-out-and-when-to-walk-away
QUESTIONS TO BE ANSWERED
a) What is a microaggression actually? Have you ever witnessed one? If so what happened?
b) If you were to design a one-session anti-bias training for, say, an organization, would you include microaggressions as a topic? Or do you think there are more effective ways to combat bias in the workplace?
As always, look forward to reading and learning from your posts and conversations.
